In 2023 and 2024, I guided two expeditions to Aconcagua (6,962 m) with Norrøna Adventure.
As the highest mountain outside of the Himalayas, Aconcagua presents a unique challenge—demanding both physical endurance and a steady mindset at altitude.
Both expeditions began with a multi-day approach through the Vacas Valley, offering a quiet, scenic entry into the mountain's eastern flanks. Over the course of several weeks, we moved gradually higher, managing acclimatization, team dynamics, and the ever-changing conditions that come with high-altitude environments.
My role was to guide each step of the journey with calm, clarity, and care—focusing on safety, communication, and the well-being of every team member. These trips deepened my experience in high-altitude logistics and reinforced my commitment to responsible, client-centered guiding.
The photos below offer a window into these expeditions—from early trail days to the final steps toward the summit.
